Originally I am from Southern California, but currently reside in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I am a national-level West Coast Swing dancer, competitor, instructor and judge. From 2003 – 2010, my former partner Jason Barnes, and I, enjoyed a successful competitive and teaching partnership on a national level in the West Coast Swing Classic division. As of late I have taken a hiatus from routine competition to complete double-major undergraduate degrees in International Business and Economics, and progress my corporate career in the wireless industry. I continue to travel nationally and overseas, teaching workshop weekends and judging competitions at national swing dance events.
Outside of dance, I have a musical background that began in grade-school, consisting of several years as a violinist and pianist. In my free time, I like to get away and spend time at the lake/beach, volunteer when possible at “We Can Ride”, and spend time with close friends and family. I am a big sports fan, and enjoy watching most of all of them, especially football, golf, and any kind of car racing. I look forward to playing Fantasy Football every fall, and bantering with my friends about who has the best team. Besides sports and dancing, some of my other passions include: Traveling; experiencing new foods, places, and activities; HGTV, Sportscenter, and all the geeky shows on the Discovery/History/Science channels; Horseback riding; ebay/etsy; soul and old-school hip hop music; southern food; good wine; bubblegum ice cream; good conversation; optimistic attitudes; passionate people and honest characters.
